This bundle is a thank you to the wisdom of my oak tree, my lost friend and my new son - a very splendid bundle indeed! I wonder at my son being born on the day that my best friend died...it is hard to put that into words, so on the 1st of May (after Jason's birthday) and after the elements have done their thing (and most probably the birds, lol!), I will take this bundle down and create a work of art on the canvas that it contains, as a tribute and a thank you to the miracle that it represents.

Nearly 100 artists are now participating in the Disintegration Collaboration. Bundles of every imaginable material, shape, and color are hung, tied, buried, and submerged all around the world. Nature is working her magic with snow, rain, hail, sun, wind, earth, fire, and water all interacting with and disintegrating bundles of bundles. On May 1, each artist will reveal the results on their own blog. Between now and then, Seth from the Altered Page will be tracking and spotlighting the process on his blog (click on the image above). There is still time to participate apparently, but numbers are filling up fast. Just email him with your link if you decide to join.
My Bundle and the 24th of April
My contribution is posted here; hung from my young oak tree in our backyard. I love this tree, especially in summer when I can sit under its leafy bough and just relax, create, paint, sketch and write in my journal. The tree is special also because it was given to us by our best friend just before he died 12 years ago on the 24th of April. I wrote in my journal under this tree two years ago that I wanted a baby boy. We were having difficulty conceiving, so it was to my surprise, last April 24th, that I gave birth to my beautiful boy.
