Another Sneaky Peek...

I've finally finished my Black and White 'Zine entry for Alicia over at Altered Bits. However, I don't want to spoil the big reveal which won't be until September 1st, so for now I've just posted some sneaky peeks. This was a fun challenge. I thought it would be hard to just keep to black and white, but in fact it was easier than I thought. I made the doll out of wire and paperclay...this is my first time sculpting with paper clay and I must admit - I still have a lot to learn. Fortunately, I've also just discovered the amazing Bonehead Studios! Flora, author of this fantastic blog, is the queen of paperclay and sculpey... so from here on, I'm just going to go and drool over her blog and try and learn as much as I can from her fantastic postings.
Oh, and by the way - if you are interested in joining in on the fun over at Altered Bit's, I've linked you to the zine page. Just go back up to the 1st line in this posting and click on Altered Bits; from there, scroll down the zine page a bit and you will see Alicia's call for entries.
Well, thats all for now...Have fun!

ok, here are a few clues - she is a nurse, doesn't work (like me) because of health issues (like me) and that's how we met, on the message boards of a site devoted to psoriatic arthritis; her husband works on air force planes for a living! they are early 40s and have two girls and a dog named Brody. any ideas?? email me and I'll tell all!

I love your black and white work and am headed over to Altered Bits, which I recently joined - wheeee!

Hello everybody and thanks so much for all of your lovely comments! I just love doing challenges like these, it's an excellent way to build up a body of work! In fact, I'm off to Somerset Studios now to look for more challenges - I've heard they have art calls for their magazines. Even if I don't send it in, it gets me off my butt to do more.

Hi everyone, and thank you for all your lovely comments. I thought I'd catch up this morning before me, the son and the dogs go down to the beach. It feels like Spring here to day (it has been such a long, wet Winter here in New Zealand)so what better way to celebrate! I'm hoping to come back with "finds" and along with all the new, wonderful mail art I've recieved in the post, I will show off all on my next blog posting!
